Resources for Reopening Safely

Resources for Reopening Safely and Maintaining Health Safety

Keeping employees and customers safe is a top priority. COVID-19 is still a threat to our area, unfortunately. In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Food and Drug Administration, other Federal agencies, and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) have published resources to help business owners and office buildings create and maintain a safe and sanitized area.

FEDERAL RESOURCES

The CDC created the Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers to help minimize the risk and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. This resource is very detailed and updated regularly to help you plan, prepare and respond to COVID-19.

- What to do if you have a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 in the
  workplace
- How to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in workplaces
- Healthy business operations
- Cleaning and disinfection in the workplace

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
The FDA created a Food Safety and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) resources page on their website. This page contains information and answers to questions involving:
- Food supply chain
- Social distancing, disinfecting and other precautions
- Temporary policies
- Workers testing positive

Dept. of Labor (DOL) & the Occupational Safety and Health Admin. (OSHA)
The DOL & OSHA published an in-depth guide to help workplaces prepare for COVID-19, OSHA contact information, and similar resources to keep workplaces safe. You can find this publication here: Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19
