The Portland Aquatic Center is OPEN!
The following health safety protocols are in place:
Hours of operation for Lap Swimming:
7:00 - 10:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday
Closed Friday through Saturday
Hours of operation for Recreational Swimming:
12:00 - 2:00 p.m. & 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday
Closed Sunday through Wednesday
Rules for Lap swimming in the Competition Pool at the Aquatic Center:
- Must wear a face covering into the Aquatic Center
You may remove your face covering before you enter the pool
You must put your face covering back on upon exiting the pool
- Limited to 10 Portland residents per session for lap swimming
Memberships accepted - Call 361-777-4670 to make a reservation
Non-members must make a reservation & pay the drop-in fee online

Reservations become available up to 48 hours in advance
Rules for Recreational swimming at the Aquatic Center:

Note: Non-resident memberships will remain suspended until further notice
- Ages 12 and up may utilize the pool without a parent
- Anyone under the age of 12 must have a parent present with them at all times
- Offering a limited number of private pool rentals this season

Amenities
The Portland Aquatic Center is a year-round outdoor facility featuring two pools. The recreation pool includes a boat slide, dual slide, bubblers, palm tree splashers, and a zero depth entry. The heated competition pool measures 25 meters by 25 yards and ranges from 4-13 feet in depth. It features diving boards, lily pads, and floating play structures. The facility also features four large shade structures with lawn furniture.
Patrons may bring in their own food and drink. Glass containers and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
